My daughter just got a nice Casio camera from Christmas and the lens is jammed or something. I had a casio similar to this before and SAME thing happen. Anyone know where I can repair it?

Huskermama- Did you get it repaired? If so, who did you use? 

Did anyone end up getting their camera repaired? I dropped my Nikon D5000 off a cliff during our Garmisch trip. I have insurance on it and need to take it in somewhere for an estimate. I'm certain that repairs would be above the price of the camera but need an official statement to submit for reimbursment. Did these places charge you to do an estimate? 

Oh my GOSH! 

I went to Photo Mauer and they said they do not do repairs in shop. They said they wouuld send it out and it would cost 300 Euros. They also couldn't guarantee they could fix it. No thanks! LOL. I'm taking mine back to the states to get fixed. I read on the Nikon website you could mail it to a Nikon repair shop. I don't have insurance on mine (D40) so I decided to hold off. 

Veggie - I just sent my Nikon to NY for repair and it took less then 3 weeks from the time I mailed it to the time I got it back, let me know if you would like info . 

If I send it stateside I have to get it approved by my insurance and they'll tell me who I have to send it to. They highly encouraged me to find someone local though. In the past, they had me send it stateside to Precision Camera.
