he's stuck in the catch 22. everyone wanted degrees for a while and now it makes the people who have them over qualified. the other big minus against him is his age. getting a job after 50 is very difficult. i'm afraid i'm gonna be in that situation pretty soon. 

This makes me so sad! I hope something works out for him soon! 

That is so depressing. Especially since engineering was just listed as one of the most promising degrees to get. It is really sad that people who take responsibility for their sick parents get punished for it sometimes.

Did you see that the guy filming is hoping to get an update from the homeless man soon? I'm really interested to see if he finds something. 

That is soooo sad, a guy with no less than 3 PHD's!!! I wish him the best and god speed! 

But after watching this, I was reminded of the movie with Will Smith, The Pursuit of Happiness. This guy has a demeanor similar to the real Chris Gardner. If he hasn't been already helped off the street by someone seeing this video, I'm certain he will be soon. 

Now, what the hell do we do with all the other folks that don't have the degrees, skills and means to pull themseves off the streets and out of the shelters?
