Now, more than ever, girls are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and the Girl Scouts are leading the way!

Taking place two Saturdays a month in the KMC community, girls in grades 6-8 now have an opportunity to be involved in the first USA Girl Scouts Overseas-NA Robotics Pathway. The program is 6 months long and is focused on designing, building, and programming robots from the LEGO Mindstorms NXT series.

If you are in grades 6-8, interested in this program, and live in or near the KMC community and can get to the twice monthly meetings, contact kmcgsrobotics@gmail.comfor information and to sign up. The group will take the first 18 girls to register and spots are still available. Don’t delay! Current Girl Scout membership not required but girls will need to register for Girl Scouts 2013-14 membership year as part of the registration process.

Meeting begin 05 October 2013 and will be held from 14:00 – 16:00.
