I am about to adopt a dog from a Kennel. Since I work 8 hrs every day I am in desperate need of a dog-sitter in the Niedermohr area. Who can help?

Hi, I hope this helps. Try this link. It is a database that lets you put in your animals information and then leads you to a dogsitter in the area. Upon scouring the site, I noticed that dog sitters are reviewed upon use. If not, try calling the vet on post and ask if they have a list of available dog sitters in your area. They are usally pretty good about that. Whatever you do though, dont go to Kaiserslautern Tierheim and say you need a dog sitter! They cannot be trusted as they are very biased towards all Americans! there is a story behind that.. but anyways good luck

They've found that about 1/3 of the stray animals they take in were abandoned by their American owners. Last time the Prez passed through, one of the women at the Tierheim wanted to present Mrs Obama with a 6-figure euro bill for the costs they have incurred over the past few years. Can't say as I blame her.

Ha! No way, are you serious? wow! What did she say? In regards to the problem, is is that the military doesnt require the owners to get a european chip for their animals that they purchase over here. Also, the tierheim will not let anyone take an animal. No wonder they have an overflow of animals and no one to take care of them..
