To the MF who hit and ran my van this afternoon. It was in the small lot behind the RAB MPF. I'll be looking for a white car with red paint traces on it. There was a loud drunken dorm party going on after lunch today in the area... 

I would go back to the dorm parking lot and take a look now. People just have no respect!

Sorry that happened Nicksdad. Really sucks when someone causes damage. Sucks even more when the person is a MF and won't fess up to it.

Somebody at that party knows who was driving a white car. I would be doing some serious door to door interrogation. 

It's about a 3 foot scrape around the driver's side rear wheel well. Classic parking lot incident. Looked worse last night than it does now; the thing's 9 years old after all. I went back on base this morning and looked around but found no suspect cars. We had other plans today so no time to follow up. 

I will also be keeping an eye out for a white car with damage/red paint! I hope you find those mofos!

Well, went and filed a report just for CYA purposes. I don't think they're going to find out who it was unless someone saw it happen. Apparently what I thought was white paint is actually clear coat so no idea what color the other person's car is. I just wanted a report in case the body shop asks. Probably not worth filing a claim either since the damage can probably be hammered out or whatever they do these days for less than my $1000 deductible.

That is okay, as long as they had a clear coat... they are still a suspect! o_O 

you may be able to get the worst part of it out with a little rubbing comound. how far you go depends on the age of the car and how much it is really worth to you to have it fixed. 

Yep, looks like a lot of it will rub out and may only need normal car wax - we'll try that and see how bad the dents really look. I don't think they actually got through to the real paint. 

i've checked around for some repair on my bmw. they want an average of around 500 euro to paint a door. if it goes onto the fender that will be another 500 euro.

i know a good place if you want to have it checked out. they speak english and even have english magazines in the waiting area. you can also ask them about just rubbing out the paint and leaving it.
