So today I heard that TKS still makes you pay the remainder of your contract even if you have orders to leave Germany...is that true? We just got orders a few days ago and we are flying out on the 27th of this month. It is very short notice. We've had TKS for about 3 years. We were always told that all we had to do was go into TKS and show them our orders and they will cancel the contract for us, and we wouldnt have to pay anymore.
yes we are going there on Monday to find out. I just wanted to know what other people were told. Everyone is telling me that you can cancel your contract but you still have to pay the remainder of it if you dont cancel 3 months in advance. It seems like its a different experience for everybody. some people say that they had to keep paying tks for a couple months after and others said that they didnt have to pay. I just wanted to hear from people that have had this happen to them before.
i have to agree with angel2009. i've always wondered why people come on here to ask about issues like this instead of going to the source. the problems come when someone says what you want to hear and then you go to tks, telekom, the pax terminal, or other places and they don't tell you the same thing.
look at it this way, if you fell and twisted your leg and your foot was facing backwards would you come on here to see what people have to say or would you go to a doctor? same idea with the other questions. if you want to know the tks policy...ask tks.
or here's a better one. i'll tell you what you want to hear. you can cancel any time you want. you don't have to have orders, there is no letter required, they will pay to take your phone back, they will be a cosigner on your next car loan...did i leave anything out? you know i have to be right about this because i'm a person on the underground who "heard" something or had a specific experience.
no reason to be rude. I was just wanting to hear from people that have been through this before. If you dont like my question or dont know the answer to it, then dont comment. You just like to start drama i guess. All you had to do was just not respond to this post or nicely tell me that you dont know and that i should talk to tks about it. We already planned on talking to them about it. I was just wanting to hear other people experiences.
@hayley23 totally agreed. it takes more time to criticize than to just answer the question so dont even bother responding to it. Anyway, yeah you can cancel with orders and no you dont have to pay the remainder of the contract. The only exception would be if you took advantage of an offer with contract. For example, if you bought an iphone5 for a euro with a 2 year contract and then tried to come back the next day and cancel with orders and try to keep the phone.. someone tried to pull that once and it didnt work out too good for him..
i was just trying to make a point. if you want to know about tks policy call, go to tks. there are probably a thousand stories about how a situation like this played out. we are not the experts and what happened to me won't necessarily happen to you. if you believe it's rude to point out that you need to go to the source of a matter instead of asking people who are not the experts then so be it. it will not help you at all for me to tell you what happened if i were in a similar situation.
My feeling were not hurt. I just dont understand why people have to be rude on this site. I see people all the time that feel the need to be an a**hole and comment very rudely on peoples posts. People post things to get answers, advice, help, etc. NOT to be treated like sh*t by people. Like I said earlier, I asked this question to get responses from people that actually know what they are talking about and/or have had to cancel their contract before. Theres no reason to comment on anyones post if your gonna act rude. We're not here to hear rude comments.
So sensitive...... If you have orders you can cancel but that doesn't mean you dont have to pay your final bill even if you have left fhe country. Not saying that that was your plan, just saying it in general.
yeah i know we will have to pay our final bill. I just assumed that with orders we could cancel our contract, pay our last bill and thats it. I didnt know that we would potentially have to pay for a few more months afterwards.
